Meridian Therapy

 

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, energy is moved through the body in cycles through communication channels similar to the vascular structures of the body, called “meridians”. If the flow of energy through a meridian becomes congested, the health functions associated with that meridian/organ complex can become dysfunctional, interrupting the bodies management of health.

Meridian Therapy uses pressure point agitation to increase blood flow over vital acupoints, attempting to restore the proper flow of energy through the meridian system of the body. We use acu-pressure techniques, and an instrument called a Teishein (like the springy end of a ball-point pen) to stimulate the meridian system, as well as light current electrical devices (stimplus™).
